It is remarkable how God uses the natural to reflect the spiritual. As I have watched the leaves turn into a vibrant color then fall from the trees. As I watch a patch of white snow blow in seemingly from no where, powerful and strong, and cover all that had been lost and that fell.
 
I watch things that were once alive be brought to an immobilized point of surrender. Almost chilled by the elements but amazed by the splendor I have a faint visual of what was and a great expectation of what can be again. Season’s change. There is an appointed time for for everything.
Ecc 3:1

On the brink of a new season, I feel the burning power of the Holy Spirit as it ignites the fire to blaze forward another year. My prayer is that you too will allow the word of God to be a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your path as you travel towards the promises of God. Psalms 119:105

High praise unto the Lord, as the Battle Creek satellite church celebrated with a open house.

This day was not only an open house to celebrate our second location, it will also go down in history as the first day Pastor Sapp open the doors of the church for membership. Excited about a new opportunity to grow and serve, the Battle Creek congregation has already begun community service. For the Thanksgiving season they held a food giveaway. On December 23 they will have a Celebration of the Savior with Lighthouse Full Life Mass Choir and Christmas gift giveaway at the Boys and Girls Club of Battle Creek. Earlier that day, Pastor Marvin and Lady MaLinda will have lunch with the family of faith and share the vision for Lighthouse Battle Creek.

On October 13, 2006, the city of Grand Rapids welcomed the newest Bible training institute in the Midwest area, Rhema Bible Institute. Installed as an Affiliate Center of Friends International Christian University and Accredited by a governing body for religious education, RBI will offer Associates, Bachelor and doctorate degrees with an emphasis on Christian service.
  
 
   
 
       

Lady MaLinda joins Dr. Marvin in receiving her Doctorate degree. While this is the second for Pastor Marvin, Lady MaLinda received her doctorate degree in biblical counseling. Additionally, they were both inducted into the International Association of Christian Counselors.

Congratulations to Dr. Marvin and Dr. MaLinda. We look forward to the graduation of the Innaugural class of Rhema Bible Institute in October 2007.

Being responsive to the call from a generation highly solicited by the enemy, Pastor Marvin will release a team of ministry leaders as they launch Extreme Faith, a worship service without limits Sunday’s at 3:00 p.m. at Lighthouse. This contemporary worship experience will transcend traditional worship limits, gender, and age and birth a radical praise!!

December 31: New Years Services 9:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. at Lighthouse 9:30 p.m. Extreme Team Praise Preview for Young Adults at Praise Place.

January 2: 21 day fast (40 days for the extra milers) Prayer 5-7 a.m. and 5-7 p.m.

January 2: Lighthouse Battle Creek Services held at WMU Kendall Center in Battle Creek.

Mark your calendars for January 26! Pastor Marvin will be recording a live DVD and CD during his 40th. birthday weekend. The event will be held at Ressurection Life Church 5100 Ivanrest, Grandville, Michigan.
